He's always working

Hey guys!

Welcome back to the blog.

When I was thinking about today’s blog post and what to say to you guys, I had writer’s block. But then I remembered why I started this blog in the first place and why I do what I do.

I decided to spend time with the Lord, and when I tell you guys He worked on me. I was led into a time of worship with the Lord, and it’s the best thing ever.

In the time I spent with Him, He taught me patience, He taught me stillness, and how to just dwell in His presence.

Now, I’m not all the way there, but it’s definitely a start.

"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." – John 4:24

As I was worshipping the Lord, I was trying to understand what this scripture means. What does it mean to worship in spirit and in truth?

A lot of times, we go into the presence of the Lord and do what we want to do. We never stop to think: does God even want me to sing this song to Him?

Sometimes, you worship God with a song because it’s YOUR favourite song. But have you ever stopped to think does God want me to sing this song to Him right now?

Sometimes, He just wants you to sit and be with Him. Before singing praises, He wants you to get to the understanding of who He actually is.

We often spend time with God just for the sake of it, but have you actually ever spent time in your secret place and then come out with a lesson because the Holy Spirit taught you something?

I was busy singing songs that I’m familiar with just for the sake of it, and I’m not saying it’s bad because God loves when we worship Him. But it’s so important that as we worship, we make sure we are sensitive to the still small voice when He speaks.

I felt the Holy Spirit tell me, try singing a song unto me for once. We always hop on the back of other people’s worship to God, but what does YOUR worship to God look like? What does it sound like?

What songs do you have from your spirit to sing unto Him?

"Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary." – Psalm 96:1-6

I really felt like David loool.

All jokes aside, let us allow God to work on us because He is always working on us. But if we’re stubborn and we don’t want to follow Him and what He asks of us, we will literally be frustrated with ourselves and life.

Sometimes, when God is working on you, it doesn’t make sense in the moment, but it will eventually.

You just have to trust the process and give it ALL to Him.

This year, we are giving it ALL to Him. And I’m not saying it’ll be easy. But when you have Christ, there’s a certain peace that comes with Him that you can’t get anywhere else.

This blog post was truly led by the Holy Spirit, and I’m just so grateful for Him. I pray that whoever reads this, you’re touched by it, and it encourages you to spend more time with our Heavenly Father. Amen.

Much love,

Preshh
